This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which Lima Driving Academy provides refunds for driving lessons, lesson packages, and road test services. By booking our services, you agree to this policy.
1. General Policy
We strive to provide high-quality driving instruction and flexible scheduling. Refunds may be granted in accordance with the terms below.
Refund eligibility depends on:
- Notice provided for cancellations
- Services already delivered
- Administrative and processing costs
- Compliance with our Terms and Conditions

2. Lesson Cancellations
Students may cancel or reschedule lessons by providing at least 24 hours notice.
Eligible for Refund or Reschedule
If cancellation notice is provided at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson:
- The lesson may be rescheduled at no extra cost, OR
- A refund may be issued if the lesson has not yet been delivered
Late Cancellations
If less than 24 hours notice is provided:
- The lesson fee may be charged in full
- The lesson may be deducted from a package
- Refunds are not guaranteed
No-Show Policy
If a student does not attend a scheduled lesson:
- The lesson will be considered completed
- No refund will be issued
3. Lesson Packages
Lesson packages are offered at discounted rates and are subject to the following terms:
Partial Use of Package
If a package has been partially used:
- The value of completed lessons will be deducted at the regular single-lesson rate
- The remaining balance may be refunded
Unused Packages
Unused lesson packages may be eligible for refund if:
- No lessons have been completed
- Request is made within a reasonable time after purchase
Administrative fees may apply.
Packages are non-transferable unless approved in writing.
4. Road Test Packages
Road test packages may include vehicle use, warm-up lessons, and transportation.
Refund eligibility depends on the timing of cancellation:
Eligible for Refund
Refunds may be provided if:
- Cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the scheduled road test
- Services have not yet been delivered
Not Eligible for Refund
Refunds may not be issued if:
- The student misses the scheduled road test
- Incorrect information was provided when booking
- ICBC fees are non-refundable
- Services have already been delivered
Road test results are determined by ICBC and are not grounds for refund.
5. Instructor Cancellations
If Lima Driving Academy cancels a lesson due to:
- Instructor illness
- Vehicle issues
- Weather conditions
- Safety concerns
- Scheduling conflicts
Students will be offered:
- Rescheduling at no additional cost, OR
- Full refund for the cancelled service
6. Payment Processing Fees
Payment providers may charge transaction fees.
In some cases, processing fees may be deducted from refunded amounts.
7. Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds are typically processed within:
5–10 business days
Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.
8. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds may not be issued in the following cases:
- Failure to provide required identification or licence
- Unsafe or inappropriate behaviour during lessons
- Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Refusal to follow instructor instructions
- Expired lesson packages after extended inactivity
- Services already completed
9. Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that emergencies can occur.
Refund requests due to exceptional circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Supporting documentation may be required.
